New range of same-plug trailer ID devices launched posted by Russell English @ 02-05-06
Fleet Logistics has launched a new range of Trailer ID devices for use with their FL7 Asset Management System.
The system requires no extra wiring for the trailer and does not use wireless technology.
''This new trailer ID technology is easier to use, requiring no input whatsoever from the driver. There is no change to the standard trailer plug, and no extra plugs. And because it isn't wireless, we have no problems with nearby trailers appearing to be connected.'' says Brad Clark.
The patented system is an ideal way to track trailers while they are connected to FL7-equipt prime movers.
The range currently consists of 2 models, a temperature sensing model which allows refrigerated transport operators to see temperatures in real-time, and a standard ID device without the temperature sensor.
